The Lake Ridge Head Start hosted its first Back to School Play Date on Friday, August 25!
The intent behind the event was to give our children, ages 3-5, an opportunity to visit their new school environment before the first day of school, which is September 5. We came up with the idea of a school-wide play date, so children could meet new classmates, parents could meet other parents, and teachers could meet families, in a playful space... our school playground!
We had 48 families attend, which equals to 50% of our enrolled families came out to play!
