During the pandemic—and beyond—the Technology Department used TeamViewer to provide remote support to our staff.
During the pandemic—and beyond—the Technology Department used TeamViewer to provide remote support to our staff.
In the early days of the pandemic, the Technology Department installed a Bretford TechGuard Connect charging locker at each school to provide contactless device repair.
In the fall of 2021, the Technology Department installed a Raptor Technologies visitor management system at each school.
For the 2022–2023 school year, the Technology Department rolled out 2-step verification (2SV) on all staff Google accounts.
In the fall of 2021, we transitioned from an Apple district to a Chromebook district and rolled out Lenovo 2-in-1 touchscreen Chromebooks to students in grades K–12.
In the spring of 2022, the Technology Department converted legacy Windows laptops into "Chromebooks" by installing the CloudReady operating system. (CloudReady has since been acquired by Google and renamed ChromeOS Flex.)
Print Shop
In the spring of 2022, the Technology Department purchased and installed a wide-format inkjet printer for making posters and banners for opening day, homecoming, EL events, graduation, and more.
In the spring of 2023, Eric Johnson, Family Educator and Engagement Specialist, launched the Speaking of Lake Ridge Schools podcast. The show is produced by Aaron Smith, AV & Tech Support Specialist.
